So well told, both funny (the picture of you hanging on to your new rod while in danger of drowning) but also a little sad.Share my Gardenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08817611851604816123noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7470877934076705573.post-11164188466028424502011-05-14T23:59:58.939-04:002011-05-14T23:59:58.939-04:00I have to negotiate a steep hill to get down to th...I have to negotiate a steep hill to get down to the water and if I stay on the shore (narrow creek) the line will be wrapped around a tree or banch or whatever. I have to go into the water, however that is no problem as I know now to only go on slow water times. It is falling down and getting back up the embankment that scares me. There are few people around and nobody would find me in the brush unless I wore bright orange. However, I am going to investigate and find another spot that will be more age-appropriate. Meanwhile. I have to get these plants into my "less is better" gardenStarting Over, Accepting Changes - Maybehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06032033918798053005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7470877934076705573.post-83932646406609577562011-05-14T21:46:51.474-04:002011-05-14T21:46:51.474-04:00Fish...go Fishing...even if you just stay "sa...Fish...go Fishing...even if you just stay "safely" on the shore...you can do it...my problem is I can't manage to tie a fly back on good enough after I catch a tree or log or whatever is around...not a fish...just junk..but I like the whole concept of it...of course my hubby is the fanatic flyfisher...not a bad thing..Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13974302830289311711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7470877934076705573.post-40410865204936147092011-05-14T13:40:18.741-04:002011-05-14T13:40:18.741-04:00Thank you Heather and Amy. When I went down there a few weeks ago, not all the trees were out and the phlox had not started to bloom, but by now it must be just beautiful. Of the 10,000 bridges built in the 19th century, only 893 remain with 231 in PA. We are very lucky to have four within 10 miles of us, and I claimed one for my own.Starting Over, Accepting Changes - Maybehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06032033918798053005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7470877934076705573.post-23980007842344617852011-05-14T13:08:35.504-04:002011-05-14T13:08:35.504-04:00Beautifully written! That's quite an art to learn, and to fall in like that . . . wow. Nice story. I can see this being in an issue of Saturday Evening Post. It has that classic quality about it.Amy Saiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00346366018143891761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7470877934076705573.post-50489611151723276692011-05-14T08:00:08.652-04:002011-05-14T08:00:08.652-04:00Hello [again]:

We too lost eighteen comments, hence no reply to some, but we did get our actual post into a Blogger lifeboat - or so it seems.

Enjoy your weekend.Jane and Lance Hattatthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16831890261259302647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7470877934076705573.post-83205466024133726052011-05-13T16:20:28.953-04:002011-05-13T16:20:28.953-04:00Susan, it was very technical, I am so very, very c...Susan, it was very technical, I am so very, very computer savy. What happened was that my husband prints out my blogs at work and puts them in a book. I just went to the book and re-typed it. Unfortunately, it was the longest one I ever wrote. It convinced me to try to keep them shorter next time.Starting Over, Accepting Changes - Maybehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06032033918798053005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7470877934076705573.post-79535332268744459072011-05-13T16:05:50.838-04:002011-05-13T16:05:50.838-04:00Oh, aren't you the smart one?!
