I am having a rough month, but I am doing OK.
Did you get up this morning and step onto the cat's recently excreted hair ball? You hop into the bathroom and after cleaning your feet and gagging, you find that the battery in your toothbrush went dead and the water in the toilet wouldn't stop running. Signals like that don't bode well for the day and you have a feeling that the next few hours are also headed for the crapper. But things don't have to be that way. Pick yourself up, and find a reason to smile.
Now wasn't that better.

That's the most adorable pictures I have seen in a long time. Oh, how I miss my cats! About smiling, I know that if you smile you will feel better and a long time ago now I began to put a smile on my face as soon as I wake up. And whenever any negative thoughts come to mind. It really, really works. And helps.
ReplyDeleteI lost a beautiful cat I loved this month, and it hurts. Cats can be so much fun and loving and that one was.
DeleteI'm of the opinion the day is best started with a wedge of cheese, and laughter. It can be hand to laugh at the small things, but if we can take a second to see the humor in the moment, we have the power to choose how our day will turn out. Here's to positive thinking!
ReplyDeleteFor me, a cheesy omelet is a good way to start a day. Thanks for stopping by Crystal.
DeleteWhat a sweetie--- that's one happy dog! I think we all have those kind of days-- and honestly, it's hard to smile sometimes. But-- I try to reflect on how blessed I am-- and think about all those who aren't. You have one of the best stay positives attitudes of anyone I know---
ReplyDeleteYou make me smile everyone I read your blog:)
Vicki
I like to think and be positive as much as possible, Vicki. And when things go wrong, there is usually a good story and a few laughs to be had.
DeleteThank you for your kind words.
My New Year's resolution this year was to smile broadly at everyone I meet on the street. I get a lot of smiles back which is great. Of course quite a few think I'm the village idiot. Who cares, I'd rather be known for smiling than something worse. A big smile and hug to you today my dear.
ReplyDeleteLaughter and smiling is contagious.
DeleteWhat a cute little video. Yes, some days do seem to start off badly don't they? Nothng a good cup of coffee and a smile can't fix.
ReplyDeleteYogurt helps, or maybe that is just my stomach.
DeleteToo funny! It's like the kitty believes it's a tiger and can bite that dog's huge head. And the dog's long-suffering look is priceless. Thanks so much for putting a smile on my face! :-D
ReplyDeleteIt looks to me that she thinks he is her friend. The dog might think otherwise.
DeleteWow! What a trusting dog. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteIf the day starts badly, and you still smile, people will wonder what you are up to. Keep them guessing.
Blessings and Bear hugs!
Sweet video - I hope your month improves - things can only get better ??
ReplyDeleteTruer words were never spoken.
DeleteThat dog needed a good licking. Darling.
ReplyDeleteThat was great, Joanne. It made me smile.
DeleteI feel so sorry for poor little doggie - I've got a cat just like that, she's a little minx and won't take 'No' for an answer. Hope your week gets better and better,
ReplyDeleteI bet the dog loved it, Molly. Well, maybe not.
DeleteRough start to your day and cute scene with the kitty and the dog. Hope your day turns out brighter than the start.
ReplyDeleteThings will look up, they always do.
DeleteSorry about the rough start part. But the video was a bright spot. Your dog was not at all startled--must happen often?
ReplyDeleteNot my dog, just something I found on the Internet that I thought was cute and funny.
DeleteLOVE the attack cat. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteAnd I hope your day improves dramatically.
If that's the worst day you ever have then things aren't so bad, are they?

I wish my problems were that easy, but it has been a heatbreaking month that has been going on too long. Smiling and being with friends get me through.
DeleteDelightful and instructive cat and dog action. But I learn more from your posture toward existence. Courage madame! Not that you lack any but I just like to say "Courage madame!" in a French accent.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cute video! Sorry you're day didn't start out so great, but it's nice that you always have your wonderful sense of humor to help turn things around!
ReplyDeleteJulie
Oops I meant your day. Sorry about that.
DeleteNone of the above today, but I'm going to remember your post for a day when I do need a smile. Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat video is adorable. Our cats are a lot like that, only we, unfortunately, don't have a dog, so they jump on me... ready to bestow a bunch of kitty kisses, rub noses, and knead me like a wad of French bread dough. (Wouldn't have it any other way!)
ReplyDeleteI hope things are looking up for you.
My - what a scatty catty! I do hope your month gets better. x
ReplyDeleteYea-upp! And particularly seeing I dodged that fur ball! ;)
ReplyDeleteI just read through your replies and see you lost a cat. I'm so very sorry, the pain is awful isn't it ?
ReplyDeleteI have two OAC's now, (old aged cats) that are being spoiled rotten, pampered beyond belief because I know I may not have them for much longer -
I dread what is to come (again!)
sending (((hugs)))
In the past 30 days, I have lost two dear friends, two members in my family have gotten bad diagnosis and my Baby Kit got hit by a car. It has been a horrid month, but I have to be brave and move on.
ReplyDeleteHi Arleen,
ReplyDeleteAnd we seek out the positive in what can be perceived as a negative. And a sense of humour certainly helps ease the load, so to speak.
I have a very excitable Jack Russell dog trying to jump into your video :)
Thanks for this, my dear friend.
Gary :)
I came back to your site, just to see the cat attack and the dog's nonchalance.
ReplyDeleteLol! Oh....one of THOSE days. You are right, just have to find a way to smile. Not always the easiest but that picture does the trick! Thinking of you and sending you lots of positive thoughts. So sorry you are having a hard time. Big hugs.
ReplyDeleteThat's one good way at looking at things. Sometimes you just have to laugh otherwise you'll end up with tears at bedtime. I just loved watching the moving picture above. They look so cute, and the dog is just so docile.
ReplyDeleteLate to the party, but not too late for a man-sized chuckle.
ReplyDeleteWhy, as a matter of fact, I HAVE stepped in recently excreted hair emulsion!!
ReplyDelete:-)
I probably watched that kitten jump on the long-suffering dog two dozen times... :-)
Pearl
Aw…the poor dog!
